A legacy of beauty
The story of the House began in Paris in 1925 with Max Lederer, a skilled furrier who worked for some of the most prestigious Parisian Maisons. Over the decades, the family business grew under the guidance of several generations of the Lederer family, until Hervé Lederer, representing the third generation, continued the family legacy.
In 2006, his two sons, Elie and Alexis Lederer, founded MAX&MOI, giving a new expression to this heritage. They imagined a high-end women’s ready-to-wear Maison where exceptional materials, contemporary silhouettes and a refined attention to detail create a natural elegance, both chic and effortless.
MAX&MOI is above all a story of transmission and passion: that of a family reinventing a precious savoir-faire, generation after generation, while infusing it with a resolutely contemporary vision.

A resolutely modern
vision of femininity
For nearly a century, the Lederer Maison has cultivated exceptional expertise in the art of working with noble materials. While leather lies at the origin of its history, cashmere has progressively become one of MAX&MOI’s most iconic signatures.
Today, heritage and creation come together throughout the collections. Cashmere, leather, silk and exceptional knits compose a contemporary wardrobe designed to accompany women with natural elegance. A vision of femininity that is free, instinctive and effortlessly elegant, true to the spirit of the Maison.
From fur craftsmanship to Signature silhouettes
Born from the craftsmanship of fur and leather, the Maison’s expertise has been passed down from generation to generation before being reinvented through each collection. Today, cashmere, creative knits, openwork, enhanced with leather, suede or sequins, silk, as well as the Furever faux fur line with its remarkably realistic feel, represent the most iconic expressions of this savoir-faire.
Each creation is imagined with the same philosophy: exceptional materials, perfect cuts and a meticulous attention to detail that makes all the difference, from buttons and embroidery to prints exclusively developed for the Maison.
At MAX&MOI, every piece is a testament to savoir-faire: buttons, prints and other embroidery details are exclusively developed with a constant focus on refinement.
A wardrobe between city and escape
Faithful to its Parisian heritage, MAX&MOI draws inspiration from a chic and effortless elegance. The energy of the city blends with the softness of winter mountains and the golden light of sun-drenched shores in summer. From this encounter emerges a wardrobe where timeless essentials meet bolder creations, designed to accompany women throughout the seasons.
Today, this vision comes to life through the creative direction of Emma Lederer, Artistic Director of the Maison.
MAX for her
The MAX&MOI woman embodies an instinctive elegance. Naturally multifaceted, she imagines a wardrobe that reflects every aspect of her personality. She loves the softness of a cocooning knit as much as the sensuality of a silk tailoring ensemble. With the same ease, she moves from an oversized double-faced wool coat or a Furever faux fur piece with its velvety touch, to a flowing long dress, a blazer worn directly on the skin or a leather legging that enhances the silhouette.
She chooses pieces that combine comfort and sophistication, structure and fluidity, refinement and ease — designed to accompany every moment of her life and transcend seasons with elegance.
Whether she lives in Paris, London, New York or Dubai, the MAX&MOI woman shares the same allure: effortless chic, a free and confident femininity, resolutely contemporary.
Emma Lederer,
a new vision of the wardrobe
Since 2019, Emma Lederer has continued to evolve the Maison in keeping with its heritage, offering a contemporary interpretation of its signature codes. She brings her own vision through a feminine wardrobe where MAX&MOI’s iconic pieces are reinvented season after season.
Playing with silhouettes, signature details, volumes and textures, she creates a casual chic wardrobe with an urban allure, where every piece feels instinctively essential.
The most beautiful garment is the one you forget you are wearing, leaving only the allure it reveals.

The Monogram,
a symbol of a century of history
This year, the Lederer Maison celebrates its 100-year anniversary, a century shaped by history, creativity and savoir-faire. Born from this legacy, the Monogram translates in a single symbol what defines the identity of the Maison: family transmission, a passion for exceptional materials and a constant movement of creation.
Two inverted M’s form a heart, symbolising the bond that unites generations of the Lederer family. Its curves evoke a thread, that of wool, craftsmanship and transmission, connecting the Maison’s heritage to its future.
Today, the MAX&MOI Monogram moves beyond the status of a symbol to become part of the wardrobe. It adorns the Maison’s iconic pieces — a denim, a Furever bag, or reveals itself through an embroidery detail or an embossed button, like a discreet signature carried throughout the collections.
