Jeans, jacket or bomber: denim is a living material that softens and develops a patina over time. Raw or washed, each denim garment requires appropriate care to preserve its color, cut and details.
One rule prevails over all others: in case of doubt, always refer to the care label of your MAX&MOI piece. Several of our denim creations must be dry cleaned exclusively by a specialist.

How often should

a denim piece be cleaned?

Whether it is a denim jacket or our BELLE flare jeans in monogram jacquard denim, denim does not need to be cleaned every time it is worn. Spacing out cleanings instead helps preserve the intensity of the color, the shape of the cut and the softness of the material.

To freshen it up, simply let your piece air for a few hours, away from light and humidity. In case of a stain, avoid rubbing: promptly entrust your garment to your dry cleaner.

How to wash light

or washed jeans?

To preserve the delicate shade of light or washed denim, turn your jeans inside out and wash them at 30°C on a delicate cycle, with similar light colors. Opt for a gentle detergent, without bleaching agents, to preserve the color and details of the piece.

After washing, let them air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight and any source of heat. Avoid the tumble dryer to preserve their shape and limit the risk of shrinkage.

How to wash dark

or raw jeans?

Dark denim, such as our BELLE dark denim model, rich in indigo pigments, may bleed during the first washes. To preserve its color, turn your jeans inside out and wash them at 30°C on a delicate cycle, separately or with similar dark colors. Use a suitable detergent, without bleaching agents.

After washing, let them air dry. Avoid the tumble dryer to preserve their shape and the intensity of the color.

How to iron

MAX&MOI denim?

Iron at a low temperature, inside out, placing a thin cloth between the iron and the piece.

Avoid any direct contact with the woven monogram, the engraved gold button and the topstitching, so as not to alter their finishes.

How to store your jeans,

denim jackets and bombers?

Store your denim pieces clean and completely dry. Jeans can simply be folded or hung by the waistband, while jackets and bombers should be kept on wide-shouldered hangers to preserve their structure.

After dry cleaning, remove the protective cover from the dry cleaner and let your piece air on a hanger before storing it.
Make sure to leave enough space in your wardrobe and keep your pieces away from direct sunlight, which can alter their color over time.
