Some materials tell a story. Leather is one of them. At MAX&MOI, it is far more than a luxurious fabric : it is a heritage, a savoir-faire passed down through four generations, and a deep passion for the finest skins. Each women’s leather jacket by the Maison becomes more than a fashion piece: a second skin, crafted from exceptional lambskin and designed to follow women through their everyday lives with comfort, confidence, and that distinctive elegance that defines MAX&MOI
A Century-Old Heritage, Exceptional savoir-faire
1925. Paris. A young furrier named Max Lederer lays his hands on his first precious skins. That founding gesture — selecting a hide, feeling it, elevating it — has endured for a century and four generations. It remains intact, at the heart of every MAX&MOI creation.
Today, Emma Lederer, the Maison’s Creative Director, carries this legacy forward while reinventing it.
“Leather is where we come from. It is the House’s original material — the one Max Lederer built everything on. Bringing it back to the forefront of our collections felt natural — almost a duty. A return to our roots.”
Emma Lederer, Creative Director of MAX&MOI
Leather is no longer just a material : it is an emotion. The sensation of lambskin so soft you forget you are wearing it. Exceptional skins, sourced from the finest tanneries and crafted in Europe — some of them in the Maison’s historic Paris atelier, where it all began a century ago.
Emma’s Perspective : A Contemporary Vision of Leather
Since 2017, Emma Lederer has infused the Maison with her vision : one rooted in family heritage, yet boldly reimagined with modernity. Under her creative direction, MAX&MOI leather becomes sensual, feminine, and couture-driven: detailed with studs, enhanced with gold-tone snap buttons, refined trims, and ribbed finishes. Clean lines and modern silhouettes define each piece.
Designed as a second skin, the leather softens and develops a patina over time : becoming more personal with every season.
From design to the meticulous cutting of each hide, everything serves the same promise : luxury leather pieces for women that allow freedom of movement, contour the body, and define a confident silhouette. The result: contemporary leather pieces that embody understated luxury, carried by a feminine, intuitive, and distinctive design signature — that of a woman creating for women.
Leather has always fascinated me. It holds a memory that no other material has. It lives, it evolves, it tells the story of the woman who wears it. At MAX&MOI, I wanted leather you slip on like a second skin — as effortless as cashmere, yet with that confidence and signature allure of the Maison.

VOILA, The Parisian Spirit Emma’s Favorite
Why VOILA?
E.L. It’s the leather bomber jacket I reach for without thinking. With jeans, a t-shirt, and loafers — my everyday uniform. It’s simple, yet has that effortless edge only leather can bring.
What makes it so special?
E.L. The raglan sleeves and relaxed fit allow for complete freedom of movement, while keeping the silhouette light and effortless. And then there’s the lambskin, it develops a patina over time. After a few months, it’s no longer the same jacket : it has truly become yours.
Cool or chic?
E.L. Both. That’s exactly what I look for : a structured jacket that feels both polished and relaxed. One that transitions seamlessly from morning to night without a second thought.
How do you wear it?
E.L. During the day, with raw or faded denim, it doesn’t matter. It’s the simplest and most effective combination there is. In the evening, with fluid tailored trousers and heeled pumps — and suddenly, it becomes a completely different jacket. That’s the magic of it: it adapts to you, not the other way around.
Some jackets you simply put on. Others transform you the moment they rest on your shoulders. VOILA is one of those. It’s the leather jacket I had been searching for all along — without even knowing it. The one that elevates everything, from a simple pair of jeans to an evening look.
