The fluidity and light of silk. The delicacy of lace, its patterns and finishes... Long associated with lingerie and eveningwear, these materials are now finding their way into everyday outfits. A silk camisole under a leather biker jacket, its lace trim peeking out, a flowing silk skirt worn with a chunky knit and combat boots… Sophistication lies in the contrasts, creating an impression of effortless elegance.
This season, MAX&MOI embraces this art of contrast through its silk and lace creations, particularly TOPY and JOLINE, two pieces that place materials and details at the heart of the look.
From lingerie to ready-to-wear: silk and lace take on a new role
Silk and lace have never truly left fashion. But the way they are worn is evolving. Inspired by lingerie, fluid and delicately crafted pieces are moving beyond their exclusively dressy nature to pair with everyday essentials. A movement that draws as much on the free-spirited style of the 1990s as on today's taste for sensual materials, layering and less conventional silhouettes.

A timeless silk camisole trimmed with lace, simple, the kind that charms without seeming to try. A contemporary long silk skirt, enhanced by a lace detail adorning the hem. Pieces worn with ease, playing on contrasts between fluidity and structure, softness and character. Far from being demure or fragile, lace becomes a statement detail. It no longer simply adorns: it gives the silhouette character.
Savoir-faire
in the details
At MAX&MOI, elegance also lies in the precision of a detail, the choice of a pattern or the meeting of two materials. This attention to detail is part of the history and savoir-faire of the Maison, where silk, knitwear and leather hold an essential place.
Emma Lederer, the Maison's artistic director, carefully selects the floral designs and lace patterns, seeking a balance between the fineness of the design, transparency and harmony with the creations. This machine-made lace, with its delicate patterns, contrasts with the smooth, luminous surface of silk.

But the subtlety of our creations also lies in the way they are assembled. Made by our partner workshop specialising in silk garments, sewing the lace requires particular attention. The aim is to bring two delicate materials together, preserve the fabric's fluidity and achieve a refined finish that defines the look.
This craftsmanship comes fully into its own in two iconic pieces from the Maison: the stretch silk camisole TOPY and the long skirt JOLINE, both highlighted by floral lace along the hem.
How to wear silk and lace in autumn-winter?
Often considered a summer essential, the silk camisole actually transcends the seasons. In autumn-winter, it takes on a new dimension when paired with more enveloping materials or pieces with a distinctive character.
With chunky knitwear, the art of layering.
The silhouette takes on a new dimension when the long silk and lace skirt JOLINE meets the enveloping volume of a wool and raccoon poncho. The cosy, oversized knit breaks up the slightly too formal style of the straight skirt, while the floral lace at the hem adds a touch of transparency and lightness. To accentuate this contrast, a pair of black lace-up boots with chunky soles disrupts the overall look. Their utilitarian style contrasts with the delicacy of silk and lace, giving this silhouette a decidedly contemporary feel. It is all about balance: the volume of the knitwear, the straight line of the skirt and the bold character of the ankle boots. An unexpected combination that transforms a silk skirt, often reserved for dressy occasions, into a true everyday piece.
By day, the art of contrast.
An ultra-feminine silk and lace camisole, given a twist by pairing it with a suede biker jacket or a faux fur jacket, flared jeans or oversized jeans and a pair of trainers. A few discreet pieces of jewellery or statement earrings complete the look if the outfit remains simple. A casual-chic look, spontaneous yet considered. Silhouettes that are both soft and confident, romantic and full of self-assurance, embodying the art of contrast.
In the evening, natural sophistication.
For a dinner or a special occasion, worn in black or burgundy, TOPY and JOLINE create a coordinated ensemble with natural elegance. Paired with leather trousers such as our BEAU model, a new icon of the Maison, the silk and lace camisole slips under a double-faced cashmere and wool coat or a Furever faux fur coat. A fluid, feminine and confident silhouette that doesn't need to do too much.
Three interpretations of the same wardrobe, where silk and lace move naturally from day to evening.
The LEVY silk shirt,
effortless chic
Another enduring essential from the Maison, the LEVY shirt embodies this same freedom of style. Renewed in new shades each season, it appeals with its straight, fluid cut, structured collar and refined finishes.
Worn open over a silk camisole, it embraces layering and tone-on-tone styling. Tucked into high-waisted jeans, it creates a more relaxed silhouette. Paired with tailored trousers or leather trousers, it takes on a bolder look.

A piece worn just as naturally to the office as for a night out, reminding us that silk shirts don't need a special occasion to find their place in our wardrobe.
Silk pieces that transition from day to evening
Permanent styles in the Maison's collections, the silk camisole and the LEVY shirt come in a wide palette of colours throughout the seasons, from luminous tones to deeper shades, such as black, an essential wardrobe staple, and burgundy.
With its silk creations, MAX&MOI celebrates a free-spirited femininity that plays with contrasts and creates its own style. Because a beautiful piece is defined not only by how it is made, but also by all the ways it can be worn.
Silk pieces are true chameleons. They transition from day to evening just as naturally. What I love is pairing them with unexpected pieces, sometimes very casual, sometimes dressier. It’s this contrast that gives each silhouette its character.
