With a free, modern and textured allure, the Spring–Summer 2026 Denim collection explores a new way of inhabiting fabric. A timeless style essential turned signature, denim is reimagined under the creative direction of Emma Lederer, who elevates it to a couture dimension, balancing authenticity and sophistication.
Designed for everyday wear, it is structured without rigidity, refined without excess and reveals an instinctive sense of chic. Contemporary denim jackets, total denim silhouettes and subtle plays of texture come together to create a naturally elegant wardrobe, effortless to wear from the first days of spring.
Inside the Studio with Emma Lederer
This season, MAX&MOI denim is reimagined through the expert eye of Emma Lederer. We met her in the studio, surrounded by tweed swatches, softly washed cotton fabrics and pieces in progress. Around her, cashmere, silk and leather — the noble materials she deeply loves — naturally interact with denim.
Here, nothing opposes the simplicity of denim to the sophistication of precious fabrics. On the contrary. Denim blends with tweed, layers over knitwear and softens when paired with silk. It gains texture, depth and character.
Between raw textures and sensual materials, Emma speaks about this iconic fabric, her instinctive relationship with clothing and the way a silhouette can subtly transform a woman’s energy.
I love noble materials. But denim has a sincerity we always seek, season after season.

Denim
a Modern Signature
Why keep denim season after season?
E.L. Because it is sincere. I love noble materials — cashmere, silk, leather — but denim has something essential. It is authentic.
Denim has always been part of our collections, layered with knitwear and explored through contrasts. This iconic fabric carries history, culture and attitude. It is timeless, almost indestructible.
What interests me today is its dialogue with couture craftsmanship. For Spring–Summer 2026, our cotton denim pieces feature frayed finishes, tweed textures and bouclé details. The fabric gains depth, texture and sensuality.
The total denim look: an instinctive choice
How do you wear denim in your everyday life?
E.L. Denim on denim is very present in my wardrobe right now. It accompanies both my active days when I design MAX&MOI collections and more quiet, reflective moments. It is timeless. It creates a chic, effortless allure. These are clothes in which you feel good — pieces that express a free, modern and confident femininity.
When crafted with precision, denim becomes extremely elegant. For the Spring–Summer 2026 collection, the silhouette is built around this idea:
• the VANINA jacket, our couture interpretation of the women’s denim jacket, where tweed meets frayed denim
• the VAVI bomber, a contemporary structured denim aviator softened by its removable Furever faux-fur collar
• the BOJOUR jeans, with a straight, modern cut enhanced by tweed-inspired details at the waistband and pockets
The contrast of textures creates sophistication. The simplicity of the fabric creates balance. This is what I love: couture denim. An essential material elevated through detail. An everyday piece transformed into a signature.
I didn’t want raw denim. I wanted denim that is worked, enriched and textured. Couture denim: an authentic fabric elevated through detail, an everyday essential transformed into a signature.

How to wear the total denim look with elegance?
Once feared for its fashion faux pas potential, the total denim look has become a powerful statement in recent seasons. The art of composing a full denim outfit lies in the subtlety of shades, textures and cuts.
Pairing a structured denim jacket with well-cut jeans — defined waist, fluid line — creates a modern and balanced silhouette.
To elevate the look, draw inspiration from street style and runway silhouettes. Add contrast through colour or materials. A cashmere sweater with suede details softens the silhouette. A silk blouse instantly refines a casual denim outfit. A bright linen T-shirt or a silk camisole with delicate lace brings freshness and femininity. Statement earrings and bold flats add character without overwhelming the look.
Another way to enhance a full denim outfit is to choose pieces enriched with contrasting textures. Tweed, bouclé, iridescent threads or frayed finishes add depth and visual interest.
The total denim look becomes a subtle construction: modern, confident and naturally elegant.
What fabrics pair best with denim?
Denim reveals its full richness when combined with noble materials. This contrast is where elegance begins.
Paired with silk, denim gains fluidity and lightness. A flowing silk skirt or lace camisole worn under a women’s denim jacket creates a refined play of textures.
Mixed with cashmere or lightweight knitwear, denim becomes softer and warmer. This layering works equally well with jeans or a full denim silhouette.
Leather structures and elevates the look. A burgundy or chocolate leather belt — signature tones of MAX&MOI winter collections — enhances the silhouette while maintaining effortless modernity.
