Spring-Summer Collection

For the Spring/Summer 24 season, MAX&MOI is unveiling its "California Dream" collection, a collection of freedom and creative daring.

The look is bohemian, soft and romantic. The light, airy silhouettes reveal delicate, cosy ponchos, open-weave cardigans and long, romantic, bohemian floral dresses.

In a spirit of Americana, fringes in cashmere or suede are a welcome addition to the look, giving a twist to knitwear essentials. Echoing the Californian desert, suede takes pride of place in the collection, applied in dashes or as a total look, adorning trousers embellished with side laces, revisited safari jackets and slightly cropped jackets. Lace-ups are distilled throughout the pieces, giving the line a soft, feminine structure. Leather leggings, the House's signature pieces, are transformed into ultra-chic straight trousers or bootleg versions, in a hippie-seventies spirit.

This season, Artistic Director Emma Lederer revisits the House's iconic and precious materials: leather, cashmere and wool, with a play of yokes and textures, like the applied suede motifs. Like a return to our roots, MAX&MOI's historic and signature expertise is reinterpreted in an ultra-contemporary design.  Leather enhances knitwear with embossed effects: it adorns the piping and bibs of knitwear with a folk feel, and highlights the pockets and fastenings of woollen jackets, like leather patches. He draws stylised arabesques on cashmere hoodies and jumpers, revealing for the first time the House monogram: two "M" intertwined like Ariadne's threads, symbols of transmission. This distinctive sign also appears on pieces in discreet touches, delicately embroidered on the cuff of a silk shirt or on the pockets of cargo trousers.

Creative knitwear, at the heart of the House's DNA, is increasingly worked, revealing thread-embroidered motifs embellished with sequins, intertwined hearts, bandana-print intarsia jacquards and openwork textures that are as light as they are refined.  MAX&MOI's demanding expertise is reflected in the choice of yarns, the work on volumes and the development of exclusive stitches.

Silk, the emblematic material of MAX&MOI, is revealed on long ethereal dresses, tops tied at the waist, camisoles and shirts that are both casual and sophisticated. The models are printed with the cashmere motif, one of the emblems of 1970s bohemian fashion, in a two-tone alliance: white-azure or almond-azure.

The ever-Coachelian allure can be seen in the guipure models, boho-style sleeveless cardigans and fringed, openwork cardigans. Here, we see a long, vaporous dress in a blurred flower power print, embellished with a lurex thread; there, a silk teddy shirt with a pearly sheen. A hippie-chic dress with a strapless neckline meets a pair of trousers with revisited cargo pockets and a very couture fluidity.

The MAX&MOI wardrobe is distinguished by the richness of its colours. The pieces are coloured in vibrant hues, tempered by more earthy shades inspired by the arid, rocky landscapes of the Coachella Valley. Pinks range from intense to silky baby pink. Azure blue and lemonade yellow electrify silhouettes. A warmer colour palette - dune, almond, linen - wraps the wardrobe in a natural aura.

A firm commitment to "Made in France" expertise, the House is unveiling a second capsule collection in exceptional cashmere made in French workshops. These timeless models of unrivalled softness are coloured with the hues of the season - linen, dune, almond and baby pink - and gently envelop silhouettes. Easy to wear, with a twist of rolled trims and pointelle knit, they can be identified by the little gold chain attached here and there.
